What should you prepare before the session?

SSH¶

Use the wiki → SSH. The list below refers to this wiki.

• in the wiki, go over the section: "1. Getting started"
• verify that SSH is installed on your laptop; install it if it isn't!
• familiarize yourself how to use the ssh and ssh-keygen commands
• try: create your SSH key (we will do this during the class session)
• try: connect to Matrix (we will do this during the class session)

Zsh¶

Use the wiki → Zsh. The list below refers to this wiki.

• in the wiki, go over the section: "1. Getting started"
• in the wiki, do the installation steps in section: "2. Install"
• install Zsh on your laptop if it is not already installed (note that MacOS comes with Zsh as the default shell)
• set Zsh as the default editor (not needed on MacOS, it is already the default)
• install "Oh My Zsh"
